Samsung has just unveiled its newest addition to its SSD lineup. A 30 Terabyte Solid Sate Drive that has twice the capacity of the previous largest capacity 2.5-inch SSD. According to Samsung a total of 32 sticks of 1 TB NAND were crammed together to create a drive with enough space to store over 5700 HD movies.
Not only does this drive have the largest capacity of any form factor SSD, it also brings with it significantly faster read and write speeds clocking in at nearly four times the industry standard for 2.5-inch SSDs. Samsung began manufacturing in January of 2018 and has plans moving into the future to expand its 1TB and larger line of solid state drives.
