The highly anticipated, long awaited next generation graphics cards from Nvidia have just been officially slated for release on 9/20/2018. After weeks of card spec leaks and teasers Nvidia made it finally official and unveiled its new flagship graphics cards the RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and RTX2080 Ti at Gamescom in Germany.
Nvidia is claiming an up to 6X increase in performance over the previous generation graphics cards. Current benchmarks are placing the In addition the new Turning architecture will support real time ray tracing thanks to new dedicated hardware that will handle the calculations.
Currently the major manufacturers that will have RTX models available on release day include ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY, and ZOTAC. The RTX 2070 will start at $499, the RTX 2080 at $699, and the RTX 2080 Ti at $999. As with the previous generation of cards Nvidia is offering Founders Edition cards that will be priced at $599, $799, and $1,199 respectively.
The RTX 2080 Ti will feature 4352 CUDA Cores, 11GB of 352-bit GDDR6 Memory and feature 3 DisplayPort 1.4, and 1 USB Type-C connectors. The full specs can be found here.
