Microsoft has announced that version 1809 code named Redstone 5 will soon be released. This will be the second major release this year and sets out to introduce new features, optimizations, and other improvements to existing applications. 

Listed below are several of the major features that will be included in the update.

A new dark mode for file explorer that automatically enables when switching to dark mode in Personalization. 

Microsoft is including a long awaited update to the search feature. When searching for an application or file there will be additional information and actions that can be preformed. Additionally if you search for an application that you dont have installed, a direct link to the download will be shown.

The most anticipated feature to be included in the update is the return of the ability to change the font size for most applications on the computer. While this may seem like insignificant change this is a very important for individuals that have trouble reading text clearly.

Microsoft has not officially set a release date. However as with all updates being deployed there will be an early adopter period before the update is pushed to all users.
