Recently an entry for the GTX 1180 appeared in TechPowerUp's GPU database. The entry indicates that the card has not been released yet, and that any benchmarks or specs are subject to change upon the full release of the 11 series GTX cards. Additionally no benchmarks were provided in the article.
TechPowerUp describes the GTX 1180 as having 3584 cores, 224 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. The card has 16GB of GDDR6 memory onboard that uses a 256-bit interface. The GPU that was reviewed was clocked in at 1405 MHz that turbo boosted to 1582 MHz, and the memory ran at a frequency of 1500 MHz. With these specs the 1180 is looking to exceed the performance of even the current 10 series Titan XP. Considering the expected MSRP is $699 for the 1180 and the Titan XP retails for $1200, this represents a considerable increase in performance per dollar.
Currently there is no set release date for the GTX 11 series cards but a reveal later next month at Computex is expected.
